Traction Man is Here!
In English, we have been studying a different genre of text. We have been focusing on Traction Man and we have absolutely loved all of his adventures! To build up to our latest piece of writing, we have learnt all about the present tense. We have practiced lots of past tense when it comes to writing diary entries, but Traction Man tends to be running or jumping into action so we have had to learn how to use the -ing suffix correctly, so that our writing is Mini Grey approved.
We were challenged with writing a new Traction Man adventure, based on the last image in the book. We knew that him and Scrubbing Brush were ready for anything. But were they? We spent time role-playing our ideas for their latest mission, taking time to listen to our partner and share ideas. We then worked to plan our story, thinking carefully about any interesting adjectives that we could use to help to describe the scene. Once our plan was complete, we then spent time carefully adapting these to create our own Traction Man adventure!
