Our Curriculum topic is Under the Sea!

We have been learning all about the different creatures that live under the sea, and have had a great time creating our own.

Nursery have worked very hard to create not one but two Under the Sea creative pieces! They each chose a specific creature they wanted to make, and then painted their base colour of the creature or its shell. Then, after waiting for it to dry they added features of their creature such as; eyes, shell patterns, claws, fins and scales!
Nursery were very creative and engaged with these tasks, and they really enjoyed seeing their creature come to life! We will be displaying this lovely work within our classroom.

In addition to a sea creature, Nursery also made their own aquariums! We painted our aquariums a lovely blue colour, and added our own special sand for the sea bed. We chose two different sea creatures or features of the sea for our aquarium. We practiced our cutting skills and stuck them onto our aquarium, and to finish we added seaweed!

This has been such a fun and creative way to start off our new topic, and we cannot wait to learn more about the animals and plants that live under the sea. Well done Nursery for all your hard work, positive attitude and excitement as we start this new term and new year!
