Year 6 have been adapting brilliantly to Remote Learning.

This week in Maths we started a new topic called ‘Position and Direction’ and learnt how to read coordinates and translate and reflect shapes.

In our Religious Education lessons we started our new topic, ‘Sources’, and explored the importance of the Bible and created our own ‘Code of Respect’.

In Topic lessons, we learnt about the Suffragettes and the many dangerous acts that they committed in an attempt to be heard.

In English we have been exploring ‘The Hobbit’ by J.R.R Tolkien and we wrote setting descriptions of Rivendell-an ‘Elf Town’ in ‘Middle Earth’.

We have also enjoyed daily PE challenges, music and Science-It’s been a busy week!

All the children wrote brilliant setting descriptions but below are some examples that were particularly impressive.

Well done to all of you for creating such brilliant pieces of work but a special well done to  Lavinia, Erin, Mathilde, Zavan, Maya and Sebastiao for writing impressive setting descriptions. Please see their work below!

Work of the week

Keep it up Year 6, we are so proud of you all!
