This morning Year 4 performed their wonderful assembly all about Extreme Earth.
There were lots of scientists from the University of St Vincent’s who taught us about some extreme earth events from around the world. We learnt how tsunamis occur and heard how they affected the people living in Japan, about the volcano Anak Krakatoa in Indonesia and why people would want to live near a volcano, and about the Ganges Brahmaputra Delta in the Bay of Bengal. There was an important message about climate change causing more of these natural disasters and what we can do to stop the planet heating up.

Me and my brother watched it we both loved it. I liked the singing and the part when we threw the pieces of paper. He liked the part when Julian said that’s as tall as me because he found it funny.We both liked that some people pretended to be reporters.
That was a fantastic assembly and I learned so much. I will definitely do some of the things you recommended to save our planet. It was lovely to see how much you have all grown up. You read your lines so clearly and I loved your singing. I’m so proud of you all. Well done Year 4.
