Today, Year 6 had their final trip of the year at Regents Park for a Poetry Picnic with their parents and carers.

We started off with a delicious ice lolly after our long walk(!) and then many children chose to read one of the poems that they had written this year to the whole group. Then, everyone had the chance to share all of their poetry with their adults.

After that, we all had a picnic lunch together before spending the rest of the afternoon enjoying playing and chatting together in the park.

Well done to all of Year 6 for your fantastic poetry. Every one of you writes from the heart and your poems are always a pleasure to read.

Many thanks to all of the parents and carers who came to share our poetry and who helped to make our last trip such a success. We really appreciate all of your support.

I really enjoyed our last trip at the park! It was really fun reading all of our poems that we wrote at school and we were even making a business of making our own sand (made out of sand and water!)Thank you to the teachers who planned this trip and I will never forget my last trip in year 6!!!!

I liked the poetry picnic even though it was my idea(hehe). It was a blast and everyone enjoyed it . The best part was when Year 6 pretended to work in a sand factory. Thank you Miss Siswick for this last ever trip.
