Our new topic is ‘Traditional Tales.’ We have been enjoying reading lots of traditional tales and playing with puppets in the book corner. We have also been hearing lots of different traditional tales at story times. Can you tell us about your favourite traditional tale? We would love to hear about some traditional tales from other countries as well.
My favourite traditional tale is a German story about the town musicians of Bremen who are a dog, a cat, a cockerel and a donkey. It is a funny story and it has a happy ending because they trick some robbers into thinking they are a monster by all standing on each others’ backs!
My favourite fairytale is Goldilocks and the Three Bears because I liked the part where Goldilocks walked into the house without asking anyone and she broke all baby bear’s stuff.
My favourite fairytale is Beauty and the Beast because the Beauty has a lovely dress and she is getting married with the Beast – I love happy endings!
