Hello Class 1!

In Religious Education we have been learning about ‘Being Sorry’

We have read some different stories from the Bible about when people have been sorry for their choices and actions.
It is ok to make the wrong choices sometimes. As long as we say sorry if we upset someone. This is sometimes hard to do but God is always there to help us and give us strength.

Think about the stories of Levi and Zacchaeus.  Do you think they found it easy to change their ways and to be sorry?  It is not easy to do this by ourselves, but God is there to help us, just as Jesus helped Levi and Zacchaeus.

‘You are a light that shines in the dark.’

Your task is to draw (or use the template below) a candle. Inside the candle, write ways in which you can shine your light by being kind. Write what you will do to be kind to others. For example, sharing with others or asking everyone to play with you.

When you have finished, you might want to add some bright colours to your work to spread happiness and to shine your light!
Then take a picture of your kind ideas and send it in!

We can’t wait to see your work!
