Good morning, Year 5!

Today you will use your sketching skills to draw a famous British landscape.

The landscape of Britain varies from flat, almost featureless, countryside through heath, moorland and rolling hills to impressive mountains. And, it varies over relatively short distances!

Judith Crown is a coloured pencil artist who will be exhibiting her meticulous drawing ‘Monarch of the Antiquities’ at this year’s UK Coloured Pencil Society Annual Exhibition in London, which opens 25th April – 6th May. Her work is highly detailed and celebrates the beauty of nature, be it a waterfall, a hilly landscape, or a lizard perched on a branch.

Here is a reminder of the different textures you can use in your sketch:

Please send your art via the Homework Uploader.

I look forward to seeing it!

  15. Hello Miss, I have uploaded my sketch using the homework uploader. I have drawn a place called Martinsell in Wiltshire which is near where my grandma lives. We used to walk there together but now she is 92 she can’t really walk so sometimes we just drive her there so she can see the view and it makes her happy. I’m going to post the original drawing to her.

  16. Mrs Avdiu says:

Wow! Thank you. I will upload this now.

  17. Mrs Avdiu says:
