  1. Susie the snake has 19 eggs because 4+4+4+4=16 and the difference between 19 and 16=3.And 5+5+5=15 and the difference between 15 and 19 is 4.

    15+4=19
    4*4+3=19
    16+3=19
    19 eggs

  3. I worked it out by doing
    4×4=16
    16+3=19
    5×3=15
    15+4=19

    Answer: 19 eggs

  4. 4×4=16+3=19
    5×3=15+4=19

    Susie has got 19 eggs.

  5. 4 sets of 4 and 3 left over = 19.

    3 sets of 5 and 4 left over = 19.

    Susie has up to 19 eggs.

    Counting in fives up to 20 is 15

    Susie has 19 eggs because when you count in fours you get to 16 and there are 3 eggs left and when you count in 5 you get to 15 and you have 4 eggs left.

    I’ve counted in fours up to 20 and added 3 to each number, I got
    7, 11, 15, 19
    Then I counted in fives and added 4 to each number. I got
    9, 14, 19
    19 appeared in both counts, so that’s the answer!

    Q1. 4 8 12 16 then add 3 =19
    Q2. 5 10 15 then add 4 =19
