We have learnt in our topic how important it is to recycle as much as we can to look after our planet.

Can you design an outfit made out of recycled objects and materials you would find at home?

On a piece of paper, draw your outfit and label what it is made of. Here is your criteria:

  • It must be made of recycled materials
  • It must be designed for someone in your house (person or pet!)

In your diagram you could include:

  • Any recycled materials that you are using
  • Any tools you will need to use
  • A reason why these are the best tools or materials
  • An explanation of what you are making and why someone will like it.

You can draw your designs in your Home Learning books or on pieces of paper. If you would like to then  you can take a photo of them and email them to the office and I can put the photos up here!

If you have all these recyclable materials at home, then why don’t you try and make it and do a fashion show at home!

Thanks to everyone who has sent in your creations and designs! If you email the office, I’ll add them to the gallery so everyone can see them.

  1. I’m done! It was so fun.

  2. Miss Carruthers says:

Can you tell us what you did? What did you design? What did it look like?

  3. I made an outfit.
We made boots out of banana peel.
We made Newspaper Trousers, a bin bag jumper with plastic bottle sleeves and a hat made from a Rice Krispies box.

  4. These are all so interesting. I’m a great one for recycling clothes.Do you know I actually think I could wear some of these designs myself!
