The reign of Queen Elizabeth I lasted from 1558-1603. This period of time is called ‘The Elizabethan Age’. Our Queen is Elizabeth II- so you could say that also we live during an Elizabethan Age! We have looked at different aspects of life in Elizabethan times. But when would you rather be alive- during the reign of Elizabeth I or II and why?
I feel like I am lucky to be alive during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign because even though Elizabeth I was a good queen, you also had to go through Bloody Mary. Also because Queen Elizabeth II is an amazing queen and she tries her best to do everything she can to keep us safe. She is a beautiful and elegant Queen for us to have.
I think Queen Elizabeth II is a better queen because even though Elizabeth I would be a good queen, during Elizabethan times things were very different than now and people could be beheaded by the queen but now I don’t think you can. I am very proud to have Queen Elizabeth II since she is a very compassionate and kind person.
I think I would prefer to live in the modern day Elizabethan times. I think this due to the fact we would be out of poverty and famine.
