This half term, we have been working hard and studying for our SATs. What are your tips for studying? Do you have any advice about working hard while staying calm, healthy and positive?

  1. While preparing for the SATS, a good thing to do is to meditate, then you will feel calmer and more positive.
You could also practise your Maths and English at home on bitzsese ks2 or an amazing website calles IXL.co.uk-fun maths practice and english at home.
You shouldn’t be feeling nervous beacuse whatever happens you will be alright. In class 6, we have been taking some sample tests so that we can see what the SATS are actually like. You could also have a healthy diet (if necessary) and you MUST (in my opinion) have early nights if it’s a school night!

  2. From Monday to Friday, what I do is I practice my Maths and English for 20 minutes each. Then I read my book and research what I have been doing in class and finally, I get to relax and watch some TV until 20:30, which after I go and read the book I’m reading for at least 20-30 minutes.
I only go to bed later when it’s the weekend or if I’m on holidays from school. When I need to stay calm at school, I try not to let anyone distract me, at home when I’m doing my homework on Wednesadys, Thursdays and Fridays I will sit in a quiet room where no -one could distract me.

Thank you , Isadora- lots of really helpful advice.

  4. I have a few helpful sites:
    http://www.factmonster.com/
    https://kidskonnect.com/
I also agree with Isadora. You should also remember to read because it improves your knowledge, punctuation and spelling. It’s also very good to ask for help if you need it!! Most importantly don’t be lazy, try your best and don’t worry!!!Good Luck everyone!

  5. A good tip is to buy some practice books you can do at home if you want to practice or if you have nothing to do. Websites such as Bitesize are really good for practicing in all subjects!

  6. SAT’S are finished! I thought they would be harder than they actually were.

These are really helpful for SAT’s next year, I will look at these sites when I am preparing next year.
