Good Morning Year 2!

I hope you enjoyed interviewing your family and friends yesterday. As all reporters do, after they have interviewed someone to find out some information, they then write it up to publish in a newspaper or online.

Start with a sentence or two explaining what you did, and then you can write what people said. If you write the first sentence, then the rest can be a list using bullet points. You can then use the star and smiley face or write it in a sentence at the bottom. Have a look at mine below:

If you do it on paper then you might want to include pictures of the people or of the things that make them happy. Then you can take a photo of your finished work and send it in 🙂

  3. Yesterday, I asked my mummy, Elsa and my grandma what three things make them happy and why.
    These were the answers they said:
    Mummy
    • Jack and Elsa because I love them both so much.
    • Flowers and trees because nature is beautiful
    • Books because I love to read and use my imagination
    Elsa
    • My friends because they make me happy.
    • Roblox because it is my favourite online game.
    • My family because they love me.
    Grandma
    • Cooking meals for my family
    • Gardening
    • Sitting out in the sunshine

    My family do lots of things that make them happy. My mummy and grandma both like gardening and being outside with plants and trees. Elsa likes going on Roblox with her friends but my mummy loves to read books. I like playing video games and reading books. I love my family because they look after me and they love me too.

  7. Miss I interviewed mum, dad and my brother but Ajay did not want to do it so I had to only do two people.
    The questions I asked:
    1. What is the thing that makes you happy?
    2. Who in the world makes you happy?
    3. Why do you sometimes feel happy?
    4. Where is your happiness coming from?
    5. Which is your favourite year that makes you happy?
    6. When do you feel happy?

    Mum’s answers:
    Holidays.
    Family.
    Thankful for the thing I have.
    Prays from God.
    2007, 2010 and 2013.
    When I start my day.

    Dad’s answers:
    When Layla smiles.
    Family.
    When Layla cooks with dad.
    Love.
    2007, 1994, 2010 and 2013.
    When we are all together.

    Mum and dad are happy when we are all together and if feel happy when we are together, we all love each other.

  9. I asked my family what makes them happy. They gave their top three answers.

    Florence:
    1. Walking Truffle in Regent’s Park in the afternoon.
    2. Playing the piano, especially Beethoven, with a cup of tea.
    3. Going for picnics in the park with my friends.

    Daddy:
    1. Going to Sushi Waka with my family.
    2. Lying in the bath with Epsom Salts reading a good book.
    3. Filling my fountain pen with brown, black or serenity blue ink.

    Mummy:
    1. Making spinach and feta flan for our lunch, and then eating it.
    2. When I am brought a cup of tea in bed in the morning.
    3. Playing insect Top Trumps with Rex.

    Percy:
    1. Playing cricket for my team.
    2. Playing football with my friends in the park.
    3. Drinking iced coffee.

    Truffle:
    1. Lockdown, because all the family is at home.
    2. Chasing rabbits in the countryside.
    3. Eating scraps of venison or bacon.

    All the family likes eating sushi, especially at Sushi Waka.
    All of us like spending time in the park, especially with Truffle.

    Daddy’s answers:
    1. Jogging
    2. In the afternoon
    3. His family
    4. The park

    Mommy’s answers:
    1. Reading books

    3. Her family
    4. The beach

    Katherine’s answers:
    1. Cooking
    2. At night
    3. Her family
    4. A garden

    My daddy, mommy and nanny all said their family makes them happy. They all like going outside to feel happy.

    Mum likes getting up early, having fun and reading books.

    Dad likes playing on PS4, playing football and staying with the dogs.

    MY Sister likes going on the phone, playing games and loves flamingos.
    Everyone likes doing different things to make them happy. My mum and dad don t like the same things.

    Well done Vincent. If you are writing it as bullet points, don’t forget to put them in and write them underneath each other. If you want to write it as a sentence, use a comma between the words.

  28. Yesterday I wrote 5 questions to ask my mum, dad and aunty. The questions was what food makes you happy, what hobby makes you happy, what colour makes you happy, what kind of holiday makes you happy and what makes you the happiest in the world.
