I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend. Did you do anything to celebrate VE Day? Don’t forget to send in pictures or write on the blog *LINK* if you did! We’re going to have another look at The Day the Crayons Quit. We’ll be reading the same extract as last week, reading the letters from the red and purple crayons. Click here for the extract, printable The Day the Crayons Quit extract or use the QR code below to find it using a device.

Now that you’ve read this extract, read the letter from the purple crayon again and try to answer these questions in as much detail as you can.

    I think that the purple starts the letter with all right listen because he is very angry with Duncan.

    I found the word gorgeous and favourite.

    He could use purple crayon for bags, hairbrush, and lipstick.
