I hope you had a lovely half-term!
As you may be aware, the phased return to schools has begun and this week some classes (not Year 5) will return to school. This means Miss Gorick will be in school teaching Year 6 so I will be setting and responding to blogs for the Y6 children who have chosen to stay at home. I will continue to set and respond to blogs for you all too but it means my replies may take a little longer than usual as I will be replying to both classes as well as working to create blogs for both classes for the foreseeable future. Thank you for understanding.
Today is INSET day which means all the teachers (including me) will be in school preparing for this phased return to school. I will not be able to approve or respond to comments until later today. Sorry!

I think that the story will be about a boy who finds out that his cousin can time travel and then they have to save the day from something or someone.

I think that the main character is Luke because he narrates the story and he has a connection with every character. Also judging by the name I think it’s his cousin that he has to help save the day.

Hello everyone I hope you had a good half term and are all well this is my answer for today’s blog:
I think that the story is about a child who invents lots of things and manages to make a time-travelling machine. He goes on the machine either with his brother and sister or friend. They face big problems of their future until they manage to come back like it has only been five minutes.
The characters I have met so far are Luke, Zack Parker, Serge, Lara Lee and also author Veezet. My favourite character is the author because he is funny, kind and adventurous. I also really liked Serge he is a very friendly and clever person.
I think Luke is the most important character because I know he is not the super hero but he is trying to save the world by helping his super hero brother to continuing to save the world. Also because he is featured alote and I think is the real good person of this story. It says in the text that Luke’s and his friends are also helping Star Lad on his missions. The most importante thing is that I think Luke is the most important character because he wants to help people but Star Lad is a good person but hates actually his powers to save the world from tracheary.
I love the fact you think the ordinary boy is more of an important character than the super hero 🙂 sometimes hero’s need help saving too!

I finished today’s English task with no problem, but to be honest, I did not enjoy the first two chapters very much. All I really understood was that Luke’s big brother did not want to be a superhero anymore, and that this author came to Luke’s school. In my understanding, this book was about superheros, saving the World and Alian invasions. By the way, it took my over 30 minuets to read these chapters as I was facing the horrible phase of boredom. ?
This is how I saw the plot based on these two chapters.

I think ‘My Cousin is a Time Traveller’ is about a boy called Luke who’s cousin is a time traveler and I think he will travel in time and save the world.
The new names of people who I have met in the book are Luke, Lara, Serge and Zack. I think Luke is the most important character because I think he will take his brothers powers.

I think, for the first question, that the story is talking about a cousin (girl or boy) who is able to travel in time, both in future and in past.
I also guess this person is having lots of adventures!
In the middle of the story, I think the cousin traveler is going to share the secret with her/his cousins that She/he is a traveller.

1* I think the story will be about the narrator’s cousin. He will go back in time or in the future to save the world as this is what time travellers do.

” My brother is a super hero ” where Luke, an ordinary kid, helps and saves Star Lad the superhero . This means Star Lad could save the world. Without Luke, Nemesis the asteroid would have collided with Earth and would have killed all humans and living creatures/things as Star Lad could not have fulfilled his mission.
