Good morning Class 4!

We are still looking at measurement in maths but today we will be measuring volume, seeing as our English task is all about potions and spells!

What is volume?

Volume is the measure of the space taken up by a liquid or solid – the total space inside a container.

Have a look at the example below:

Let’s take a closer look at the scale to help us…

As you can see, the scale goes up in hundreds.

There are 4 equal jumps in between each hundred millilitres (ml).

100 divided by 4 is 25.

So that means each little line on the scale goes up by 25ml.

So there is 100ml and then 25ml more.

100ml +25ml = 125ml

So the answer is 125ml.

    Do the sheets that I have set on the blog. The ones in your home learning pack are review sheets so they are more like revision of all of the topics! The sheets in the home learning pack can be done whenever you like at your own pace ?
