Good morning Year 6,

One of the many things I miss is your delightful singing in school. It always makes me smile and sometimes brings me to tears!

Please have a look at the Singing News Post.

Please try to sing your favourite songs at home and let us know in the comments which one you’ve been singing and why it is your favourite.

I have been singing The Happy Birds Te Deum Sing’ a lot because it really does bring back wonderful memories for me.

Music is an art to reflect human’s emotion so you could even represent your favourite song through art or poetry!

If you do this, please send it in via the Homework Uploader.

I hope you enjoy singing and I can’t wait to see your responses to this blog!

A poem by Elly:

As the birds’ chirp

And the crows crow

there is life

there is a new beginning

for all the flowers and babies

 there is love and

the sound of beautiful nature

nature brings joy

nature is grace

nature is a musical toy

as the birds’ chirp

and the crows crow

there is a new beginning.

The sound of singing

The sound of nature

means there is always a new beginning

  1. My favourite song is called new begging and I think we sing it in school!here is my poem.

    It’s a new beginning ,
You can hear the bells ringing .
And joy fills the air ,
    While people care.
    The flowers are growing,
    And children are all-knowing .
That they must care for creatures,
    And all their little features.
    For it’s a new begging,
When all the bells are ringing.

There is my poem about the song:’new beginning’

    Hope you like it
    thank you ! 😉
