Alexander enjoyed the activity with the currant buns song and followed it. He counted correctly and gave the coins away until there were none left. He set up a shop with items which were on sale for 5p and 1p. He recognised the 1p and 5p coins and sold all the items in his shop.

I am glad that you are enjoying learning about money today.

  14. Hello nursery,

I loved the currant buns song! I picked 5 Dr. Seuss books and set up my book shop. I gave out 5 coins- 3 to Saoirse 1 to daddy and 1 to mummy. We sang the song with ‘books’ instead of ‘currant buns’. At the end all the books were sold in my shop and I had 5 coins!

  15. Aoife loved the song and paid Joseph for all the currant buns with her five coins. She is setting up her shop this afternoon and we will all be taking turns to go shopping!

  19. Miss Siswick says:

I am glad that you enjoyed it, Ania and Karolina.
