Good Morning, Nursery.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Can you practice hearing and saying the beginning sounds from last week in these words ?

Today’s Phonics task:  We are focussing on the sound ‘l’. Practice making the ‘l’ action and saying, ‘llll.’

Here are some words that begin with the ‘l’ sound. Practice saying them like this, ‘llll log’.

Go on a hunt in your house for more things that begin with a ‘l’ sound.  Practice saying them like this, ‘llll lolly’.
Can you hear and say the beginning sound of the objects that you have found?

Practice writing the letter ‘l’ in the air and on the table with your finger.  You can also write the letter on your laminated card using a whiteboard pen or on paper using pen, crayons, paint or pencil.

I can’t wait to hear about all of the things that you found in your house that begin with the ‘l’ sound.

I know that lots of you enjoyed meeting Geraldine the Giraffe last week. Here she is learning the ‘l’ sound too: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sq-q2jzM78c

PRINTABLE VERSION:N Phonics Monday

It would really help me if you could upload photos  straight to the media file (instructions are here: sharing photos and files) as they get to me more quickly and easily as they don’t have to go via the office and my e-mail. Please can either your child’s name or face (but not both) be visible on any photos. Many thanks.
