Good Morning, Nursery.

Our new Religious Education topic is ‘Friends’.

I loved hearing about your friends on Monday. I know that you are all missing your friends at the moment but hopefully you will be able to see each other again very soon

Friends are very important.
Friends look after and do things for each other.
Friends do things together.
Friends make each other happy.

Today, we are going to think about how to make friends again when things go wrong.

Look at this picture of two friends:

What do you think has happened?

How do you think the boy is feeling?

How do you think the girl feels?

What do you think should happen next?

Look at the next picture:

What do you think has happened?

How do you think the boy is feeling?

How do you think the girl feels?

How can we make friends again when things go wrong?

Can you draw a picture to share your answer?

I am looking forward to hearing from you today.
Love from Miss Siswick.

PRINTABLE VERSION:N RE Wednesday

It would really help me if you could upload photos  straight to the media file (instructions are here: sharing photos and files) as they get to me more quickly and easily as they don’t have to go via the office and my e-mail. Please can either your child’s name or face (but not both) be visible on any photos. Many thanks.

  1. Grace looked at the picture and said she thought there had been an accident where the boy had tripped over the girl on his scooter. She thought the boy looked upset and the girl looked a bit angry. She said that next they should be kind to each other because it was only an accident and make each other happy again.
The Big Question – Try to make people happy, try to think of something to make people laugh and be kind to each other 🙂

  2. Miss Siswick says:

    Well done, Grace.

  3. Adelaide says:

Adelaide said that the boy was feeling sad and the girl angry. Because the boy made the girl fall from her scooter.

In the second picture she said that they were happy because they said sorry to each other and now they are walking to the park together.

Adelaide thinks that the best way to make things great again with friends is saying sorry and then dancing!

  4. Miss Siswick says:

    Well done, Adelaide.

  5. The boy was very sad because the girl is not playing with him and the girl was very angry . They should play nicely together .

    Well done, Caspian.

  7. The boy is sad because he is crying and he is missing me (yes James said this). He has fallen off his scooter.
    The Girl is grumpy.
They need to get back to being happy.
They are both happy now as the girl is helping him to scoot.
    Picture being drawn currently.

  8. Miss Siswick says:

    Well done, James.

  9. Hello nursery,

Fiadh really enjoyed telling the story!

I think the girl hurt her friend and now she’s not saying sorry because she has her arms crossed and looks cross. I cross my arms when I’m cross! The friend is crying and he is sad. Daddy is holding him to make him feel better. The girl should say sorry and the boy has to say I forgive you to somebody which hurts you. Now they are best friends again. They both feel much better and happy to play together again.

  10. Miss Siswick says:

    Well done, Fiadh.

  11. Mrs Rekkas says:

Good morning nursery, what a lovely topi today. Enjoy.

  12. Alexander says:

Alexander says the boy fell off the scooter and he is crying because he hurt himself. The boy feels sad and upset. The girl is angry. Alexander says they should make up.

In the next picture, Alexander says they are friends. The boy and girl are happy and smiling. He says they made up.

When things go wrong, we say sorry, make up and can help people.

  13. Miss Siswick says:

    Well done, Alexander.

Some lovely ideas of how to say sorry and really good thinking when describing the pictures. I think whatever happens you should always be very quick to say sorry. It’s important to get things back to normal as soon as possible.

  21. When things go wrong with friends, you feel sad.
You have to say sorry to become friends again.
    Then you feel happy.

  22. Miss Siswick says:

    Well done, Leopold.
