I hope that you are enjoying our ‘Traditional Tales’ topic.
Today, we are going to focus on the traditional tale of ‘Goldilocks and the three Bears.’

There are no pictures so you can use your imagination to imagine what the characters and the setting look like.
After you have listened to the story, can you tell a grown up how to finish these sentences?
Then choose your favourite character from the story and tell an adult all about them.
If you have a book of the Goldilocks story you could read it to see what the characters look like in that authors imagination.
You could use toys to retell the story or act it out.
You could create a picture of the characters.

Alexander enjoyed watching and then retelling the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears.
He was able to identify baby bears things as “just right”
His favourite character is baby bear because he is so cute!
James also enjoyed listening to the story a few times. We have told them the story many times so he knows the book.
Daddy bear’s porridge was too hot.
Mummy bear’s was too cold
Baby bears porridge is just right
Daddy bears chair was too hard
He got all the answers right and the Baby bear is his favourite character. Because he is so cute and little.
We will make porridge later. James loves helping to cook porridge. He says it is the best thing to eat.
Adelaide said she likes Goldilocks, because she makes me always laugh when she jumps when the bear comes.

Caspian listened and watched the story twice then told the story briefly but clearly .
Caspian was so involve in the story that he answered all the questions correctly. His favourite character is Daddy Bear ? because he is very big and strong .
I like porridge very much Caspian said because it make me big and strong .

Fiadh enjoyed watching the story. She knows the book very well already and loved retelling the story. She likes Goldilocks the best because ‘she is very tired and had to sleep!’
Ania likes this story very much and she listen few times.
She answered correctly on all the questions.
Ania likes Mummy Bear’s the most because she speaks very gently.

Indigo and Miss Travers have been reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs. Indigo then listened to the stories on Busy Things and sequenced the pictures.
I always think Goldilocks is a little bit naughty sneaking into the bear’s house.
When I read a story I sometimes wonder what happened next. I like to think that Goldilocks and the three bears became friends. ?
Grace answered the questions correctly. Grace said I think the bears are angry with Goldilocks because she was a tiny bit naughty. The bears feel angry and sad and cross but they might they like her after a while!
Grace’s favourite character is Goldilocks because she is brave to go into the bear’s house.
Nicolas liked the story and answered the questions above correctly. Nicolas likes Baby Bear the best, “because he is a baby”.

My favourite character is the baby bear. He comes back from his walk very hungry and he wants to eat his porridge. Someone ate all the porridge of baby bear. Then He found someone sleeping In his bed! Baby bear is angry!
Aoife enjoyed listening to the story and was able to answer the questions. She was, however, a little concerned about Goldilocks going into the bears’ house uninvited…!

My favourite characters is the little girl and her mommy because the mom is worried about girl.
