Good Morning Year 2!

Today we are starting our new RE topic which teaches us all about Pentecost. In this topic we will learn about what happened after Jesus died on the cross.

Today I want us to start with a BIG QUESTION. Remember that this type of question needs lots of thinking and talking with your family. Try and include ‘because’ to explain your reasons. Are you ready?!

Why should we spread Good News?

  1. Good News is the message of Jesus about God. It is told in 4 books called the gospels.
    It is important to spread it so people know about God and have faith.
    We can spread it by reading the Bible and going to church.

    Great answer Sophia. It is so important to spread it so others can have faith. Going to church helps us to understand it, how can we help others to?

  3. We should spread good news so people who do not already know it can find out and spread the good news too. So eventually everybody will know about it. But sadly we can only go out for things you NEED to stay alive, so you’ll have to spread good news by Zoom or FaceTime. The good news itself is that Jesus is alive from the dead and ready to spread the holy spirit.

    Excellent answer Rex! The hope is that one day everyone will know the good news about Jesus, but yes, it is definitely hard right now. Thank goodness we have technology so we can use Zoom or FaceTime to keep in touch with our friends and families.

  5. Good new is special because when you spread the news to one person then the people you told will tell other people. It is important to spread the good news to keep the faith. By telling other people.

    It’s important to spread it to others so everybody knows how good Jesus was for us.
    We can spread it by being good and being nice to everyone and helping people just like Jesus did.

  11. The good news is that Jesus sacrificed his life for us on the cross and he resurrected from the dead. We should spread this news because it shows other people to sacrifice their time to help other people. Also, Jesus sets this example to let people know how we should treat others.

    Giving up our time to help others is a really important thing to do. Jesus was always teaching us to look after and help other people.

  13. Pentecost: It celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit to Jesus’ disciples and other followers. The disciples spread the news that Jesus was alive in heaven and God’s promise that we are forgiven if we live in God’s way (being kind to others).

    The Good News are the Gospels (first four books of the New Testament). They tell about Jesus’ life, death and rising from the dead.

    It is important to spread it to others because that is how we learn about God.

    We can spread it by praying, reading the bible and helping others (being kind to other people).

  15. I think that the Good News is : Jesus is alive. It is is nice to share good news because when we receive good news, it makes us feel happy and by sharing good news, we are making other people feel happy too. When Tottenham played Ajax- they beat them! I celebrated and shared this good news by: jumping up and down, cheering and by telephoning my friends and family. The next day, I read about the match in my football magazines and watched the highlights on the television. Come on you Spurs! ⚽️⚽️⚽️????????

  17. The good news is that Jesus is alive. It is important to spread it to others so that people can believe in him. You can still believe in Jesus even if you haven’t seen him. Then God is with you. We can spread it by telling others.

    The good news is that Jesus is alive and He is with us always even during the lockdown because He is the King ! Jesus make me feel not alone ( Emilia). Jesus is giving me strength ( Isabella). These are the words we need to spread to everyone.

    We need to spread the good news because everyone needs to be kind to one another especially in this Coronavirus time and we need to remember that God is watching over us and looking after us.
    We can read the bible, go to church and tell our friends and family that Jesus sacrificed his life for us so he was a very kind man so we should learn to be kind like him too.
