Good Morning Year 2!

Click here for a printable version of this blog post: RE Wednesday printable

We’re moving on to our next Bible Story which is going to tell us what happened on Pentecost. Remember that after Jesus died, he then rose from the dead. He then spent time with his disciples before he ascended into heaven.

Last week you created beautiful pieces of artwork to show what happened when Jesus went back to heaven. You showed that the disciples were quite sad to be losing their friend. But Jesus made them a promise. A special friend was coming to be with them always.

You could watch the story below:

And then read it here to make sure you really understand what happened:

The difference between how the disciples felt before Pentecost Day and after are so huge!

Before:

  • How did the disciples feel, and why?
  • What were they waiting for?

After:

  • How did the disciples feel, and why?
  • What did they do next?
  • What had changed for them?

You can choose to do this work in a number of ways:

  • You may want to answer the question in the blog below.
  • You could draw two different pictures to show the difference in how they were feeling, and write a sentence to explain why. Take a photo and send it in!
  • You could use collage and colours to show the different feelings, comparing the difference of before and after. Take a photo and send it in!
  • You could create a cartoon strip to retell the story, including their feelings and what happened to make them feel that way. Take a photo and send it in!

Use these key words to help explain your answers:

I can’t wait to see your finished work to celebrate Pentecost day!
