    This morning I read Giraffes can`t dance.

    The author was (Giles Andreae Guy Parker-rees)

    The book is about a giraffe called Gerald that can’t dance but at the end she is the best dancer that the other animals ever saw. She started to listen to the music she liked and began to fly and dance.

  3. I love the Rainbow Magic books because it always finishes well. My favorite fairy is Selma the snow leopard fairy. She is a fairy who looks after the other animals and leopards are my favorite animals. The author is Daisy Meadows.
    There is another fairy called Louise the Lily fairy, I really want to read it.

  5. Hello Miss Jones,

    During the Summer term I read a book called ” Not Last Night But The Night Before ” by the author Colin McNaughton and the illustrator Emma Chichester Clark. The book talks about a boy who invited his friends to his Birthday party but when they came in they knocked him flat and then later began to sing. I really liked the book because it was funny and it rhymed.

  7. The name from the book was Snatchabook. The author was Helen Docherty & Thomas Docherty.
    The book is about a little animal called the Snatchabook. He steals all the books form all the animals at Burrow Down. He does this because he does not have anyone to read the book to him.
    Eliza catches him in her bedroom and together they hatch a plan to give back all the books the Snatchabook nicked. At the end they are friends.

  9. Hi Miss Jones,
    This morning I read The Secret Rescuers, the baby firebird. The author is Paula Harrison.
    The book is about a girl called Talia who loves magic animals, her best friend gave her a magical stone to speak to magical animals. I loved this book because there is a firebird called Riki and another one called Amber-wing who are friends with a dragon called Bellegar. Talia, her human friend Lucas and the dragon help the firebirds survive because the magic fire pool is blocked with stones and without the fire pool the firebirds can die. Talia and Lucas removed the smaller stones and the dragon removed the big stones.
    At the end, Talia sees her friend Sophy and Sophy gives Lucas a magical stone so that he can speak to the firebirds too.

  13. Tabby McTat is my favourite book and the authors are Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
    The story is about a man who lost a cat and the cat came back. The cat got lost because he wanted to meet a friend. McTat find his way back to Fred through the sign of the riverside. They are very happy ? to play their old song again.

  15. Today I read Kind, a book about kindness with a foreword by Axel Scheffler and picture by 38 kind illustrators.
    It’s about people that are kind and that help the others. People share their toys to be very kind and live together.
    I liked the book because I like kindness.

  17. Dog Man a tale of Two Kitties. Dog Man Is part a cop and a police dog who were hurt in an explosion . At the start of the story he is a hero and is told to protect scientists.

    The other main character is Petey who makes a clone of himself from a DNA machine. Petey and Dog Man have adventures and meet lots of baddies. At the end Little Petey and Dog Man are safe and happy.

    There are lots of drawings like a comic and when I read it out loud I use different voices.

    My dad is reading Matilda to me. It is a Roald Dahl book. I really like it. It’s about a very clever small girl. Her head teacher is not very nice.

  21. This mornig I read James and the Giant Peach, chapter 1. The author is Roal Dahl and the illustrator is Quentin Blake.
    It’s about a little boy that stays the whole day in prison because of his ugly and stupid aunts, Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker.
    I think in chapter 2 his ugly aunts let hime cut trees in the garden the whole day long.

    I have been reading The owl who is afraid of the dark written by Jill Tomlinson, The world’s worst Teacher’s by David Williams and The worlds worst parents by David Williams . My favourite book out of the three is the Worlds worst parents because it is funny.

  25. This morning I read chapter 2 of James and the Giant Peach.
    In this chapter James’s aunts tell him to cut wood the whole day but at the end he runs at the far end of the garden and hid behind that clump of dirty ol laurel bushes. James was very sad because he can’t go to the seaside and because his aunts are not kind to him.
    Next I think he is going to see a man with a bag full of tiny geen beetles.

    I love to read books!
    I have been reading : “Very important things” by James Mitchem.
    it’s an encyclopedia about different topics like animals, our planet, places, people…
    I also love “Puffin Peter” by Petr Horacek.
    It’s about a puffin who has lost his friend. (But he finally found him at the end!)

  29. I am reading β€œdiary of an ice princess”. It is written by Christina Soontornvat.
    It is about a little girl who has magical powers. Her whole entire family are wind tamers and she goes to visit her grandad to learn how to control the wind and the weather.
    She wants to learn to control her powers so she can learn how to fly.
    I haven’t read it to the end so I don’t know what happens after that.

    I’ve been reading the book β€˜The Naughty Mermaids’ from the book 365 stories for girls. It talks about two naughty mermaids who liked to visit a boy called Jack and they liked to eat his food but they soon ate two much that they couldn’t swim anymore. So they learnt that they shouldn’t eat children’s food. They should only eat mermaid food.

    1 Tiger X4: It is about a tiger with his friends. One of the friends, called Ant, says the fabricator is broken so Tiger tries to fix it, but three other tigers that look like him appear. They help them defeat the evil alien.
    2 The Vospers’ Boat: it is about Mr and Mrs Vosper who buy a boat and redo it, they decide to go fishing in it. They sing along the way, but don’t hear the boat breaking and falling off. So they decide to sell the wood instead and buy some fish and chips with the money they get from it.

  37. My favourite book is called Gracie La Roo Goes to School.
    The author is Marsha Qualey.
    Gracie La Roo is a little pig and she is a synchronised swimmer.
    I like the part when Gracie La Roo asked, “Am I in trouble?” before she is taken to Headmistress Pekoni’s office.
    She gets to teach the piglets at school how to swim.

  45. I read Charlotte’s Web, it had 170, pages by E. B. White, the author of Stuart Little and the pictures were by Garth Williams. My favourite part of this story is when the spider named Charlotte saved Wilbur the pig’s life! ?

On 3.11.2020 I read magic animal friends, by Daisy Meadows, with 104 pages and I also read unicorn magic Slumbertail & the sleep pixies, also by Daisy Meadows, it had 105 pages and I read unicorn magic Brighteye & the blue moon, also by Daisy Meadows, it had 107 pages and I read unicorn magic Glitterhoof’s secret garden, also by Daisy Meadows , it had 105 pages.

    Dear Miss Jones.

    I have just finished reading Zoe’s Rescue Zoo, The Silky Seal Pup.

    I liked this book because it was about animals and the main character is called Zoe. She can talk to animals and she has a special paw print key that opens every gate in the Zoo.

    In this story Zoe had to save the Rescue Zoo from closing down. She got an idea that could save the Zoo by getting all the parrots to make sounds of every animal in the Zoo and then they put on a big show and they made lots of money from donations, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Zoo open. Her uncle found a new type of butterfly and then lots of famous people came to see the butterflies and her uncle named the new butterflies after Zoe which saved the rescue Zoo.

    My Dad was reading James and the giant peach to me, It’s about two
    horrible parents who don’t treat James nicely or kindly. Luckily, soon some nice kind friends help him and start an adventure in a peach and manage to escape on the peach. Be careful the peach will knock lots of things over!

    Hello Miss Jones,

    Recently I read a little bit of a chapter book called Demon Dentist. The book is written by David Walliams. It is all about a 12 year boy called Alfie who has rotten teeth.
    Alfie had not gone to the dentist until he was 4 years old. He hated going there, the dentist said he had to pull a tooth out because it was rotten. He tried to pull it out himself but it would not budge. He tried and tried but still nothing. Then he asked two of the staff to pull him so that the tooth will come out….

    I will update you again once I read some more.

    Seal hunters wear sealskin.
    People can learn from animals.

    I have read my book Fing by David Williams

    It’s about a girl called Myrtle that has everything in the world but she still wants a Fing. So the dad goes into the deepest darkest jungliest jungle in the world. But everything goes wrong! Myrtle ends up in the deepest darkest jungliest jungle and then Myrtle becomes a monster and the parents become happy again because they don’t have to listen to shouting anymore.

    i have been reading good night story’s for rebel girls and i was reading Florence nightingale to my little sister Hermine and in the story they tell us that she studied to be a nurse then she became one. She always had a lamp with her so she is now called the lady with a lamp.

  84. Today I finished reading Amelia Jane there was 3 stories in 1 book the first one had 185 pages the second had 117 and the last one had 119 pages. Amelia Jane is bigger and she is bad. Amelia Jane plays a lot of tricks on the other toys. I like the part where Amelia Jane has to dress up as a Indian and I like the part when someone called Sidney the bear he pretended he did not hear them. By Enid Blyton.

  85. Today I read the new adventures of the wishing chair winter wonderland. Jack, Jessica and Wishler go on the wishing chair to winter wonderland and meets santa. I like the part when santa opens the door 25 on the calender it shows magic pictures in the air of all the children on Christmas day. By Enid Blyton.

The headmistress (miss Trunchbull) is very mean to Matilda and her friends she hungs them upside down. Put there is also a nice teacher called Miss Honey. Miss Trunchbull is Miss Honey’s aunt when Miss Honey was little Miss Trunchbull told her to do all the work. By Roald Dahl.

They also have a pet called Scamper who barks when someone comes and disturb them or listen to there secret meetings. Jack’s sister Susie is sometimes playing tricks.   91. Today I read Rainbow magic Bonnie the bike – riding fairy. Rachel and Kirsty were doing bike – riding when a goblin came he was wearing Bonnie’s magic bracelet. Soon Rachel and Kirsty found Bonnie the bike – riding fairy. Rachel and Kirsty ran after the goblin. When they cached up with him he wanted to stop the bike that he was riding on but he fell into the water so Rachel and Kirsty pulled him out. At that moment Kirsty took Bonnie’s magical bracelet.

  92. I read Rainbow magic Megan the wedding sparkle fairy. Rachel and Kirsty were in the park. They came to a different place in the park and saw goblins with Jack Frost. Jack Frost had Megan ‘s magic ring around his finger. So Rachel and Kirsty took their magic bag and sprinkled magic dust on top of their heads. Soon they found their self in fairyland. They told the Queen fairy about what happened. They found Megan in her room frozen on her chair. She told them that Jack Frost put a spell on her so that she could not move on her chair. They found Jack Frost and told him that weddings everywhere would be ruined. Jack Frost gave them the ring. They went back to Fairyland. By Daisy Meadows
