Good morning year 5,

Mary has a unique and privileged place in salvation history and in the Church. Because she responded ‘yes’ to becoming the Mother of God, she is our first model of discipleship and our model of grace and trust in God.

Please have a look at this: Our Lady of Fatima (13-05-20)

If we were in school today, we would have been having our Marian Procession!

To celebrate this special Month of May, please create a piece of art (it could be flat or 3D) portraying Mary as the mother of Jesus. You may use any medium you have at home for your art – it could even be food!

Here are some ideas: Marian Craft Activities

You may also wish to make a flower for her, as we would have made some at school for the procession.

Please read my post on Mary here for inspiration: May is the month of Mary.

Please send your art via the Homework Uploader.

We look forward to seeing it!

After you’re done, why not say one of these prayers: Prayers-for-the-Month-of-May-Special-Rosary

Have a lovely half-term. The next blogs will start on 1st June. During half-term, I would encourage you to use your rosaries to pray the rosary:

Stay safe and God bless you all,

Mrs Avdiu & Ms Robertson

Sara, thank you for sending in your wonderful art. Can you tell us a little more about it and what it represents? 🙂

  17. Hi everyone.
My art represents Mary with snakes at her feet and they represents evil. The storm is representing that the storm will only stop if everyone is kind and caring and treats over people fairly.
Also the flower represents that Mary means no harm and will always be there if you need her.
