Hello Class 4!
How are you all today?
Today would have been our Marian Procession if we were at school today.
We remember Mary during the month of May. During the month of May, we can create a May altar in honour of Mary. The first thing that should go on all May altars is a statue or picture of Our Lady. A blue or white cloth is usually laid on the altar as these are the colours we think of when we think of Mary. As May is the first month of summer, fresh flowers and plants are usually used to decorate the altar. At school we make beautiful and colourful paper flowers to decorate our altar.
We should remember that Mary loves us all and she wants us to live as Jesus would like us to.
Your task today…
Create some beautiful art work to remember and celebrate Mary, mother of Jesus.
This could be a drawing, painting, 3D model, collage or drawing on Paint 3D!
If you prefer you could make a flower for Mary as we would have made at school for the procession (or you could do both art tasks)!
Send in a photo of your work and I can post it on the blog for all of your friends to see!
