In the summer term we will be learning about Shakespeare.
We will start by focusing on one of Shakespeare’s plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which we will be performing as part of our Shakespeare Project!

I would like to find out who inspired Shakespeare to be an author and a playwright. My favourite character is Puck as when he put the love potion in the wrong persons eye, he tried to fix it and then he made it worse.
I am really enjoying learning about Shakespeare. My favourite story is Romeo and Juliet.

My favourite characters from Midsummer Night’s Dream are Hermia and Lysander because they are both very funny and they sometimes break the rules.
I would like to learn more about Shakespeare’s life and how he came to become a famous play writer. My favourite character is Helena because she has the same name as me and because she is very funny. I also like Hermia because she is serious but quite funny to.
I am quite enjoying learning about Shakespeare. In my opinion I like acting in A Midsummer Night’s Dream more than I like reading it. I quite like the story. I don’t know who is my favourite character yet.
I like it when Hermia and Helena are arguing because it’s quite funny.
Demetrius is my favourite character because he has done nothing wrong but is still in all of the trouble. Athens is the Greek capital, many people have lived or visited Athens over the centuries. I would like to learn about how he got the ideas for so many plays.
My favourite character is Demetrius and I like Snug the Joiner because she growls very loudly but is fun and playful and won’t hurt you. l know Athens is at the bottom of Greece and that it is the capital city of Greece but that is it. l would like to know who encouraged William Shakespeare to write all these books and poems and from where did Shakespeare get all his ideas from? Also why he wrote alot of plays about love.

My favourite character in the Midsummer Night’s Dream is Hippolyta because she is a very strong woman. Back in the time, when this play was written, women were not aloud to do much on their own, but Hippolyta stood up to Theseus and disagreed with him.
The play is also very funny, especially when Puck messes up with the love potion and when Hermia is blaming Helena for both Lysander and Demetrius being in love with her.
I would like to learn about where Shakespeare grew up, how old he was when he started writing and who influenced him.
My favourite character is Titania because she is caring and looked after her friend’s baby as she promised. This also means that she is honest and loving.
No, I have never been to Athens but I have been to Turkey a nearby country. I know that the Greeks believed in many different gods. They also invented democracy.

I am enjoying a lot learning about Shakespeare and I would like to learn about other interesting plays that Shakespeare wrote and also more about his life. In A Midsummer Nights Dream my favourite character is Hermia because she is strong because even though her father told her she could not marry Lysander she still did it, also because she is quite disobedient!

I would love to go to Athens one day! I haven’t been to Athens but I have been to Greek temples in Sicily!!! But that was during the Roman Topic.
Also, when visiting temples, I visited a temple of Zeus and snuck inside it! There were so many cool things, and there was also a building which was apparently where all the Greek gods stood.
I would like to learn about more of Shakespeare’s plays and his sonnets. In a Midsummer Night’s Dream, my favourite characters are Nick Bottom and Puck. I like them both because, halfway through the play, Puck causes Bottom’s head to change to a donkey’s head!
The Acropolis is in Athens and Athens is the capital of Greece.
My favourite character is Puck because he accidentally puts the flower in Lysander’s eyes instead of Demetrius’ eyes. When he tries to fix it he just makes everything worse. Athens is the capital city of Greece. I have never been to Greece before but I would love to go someday. This is my favourite Shakespeare play. It is a very confusing story. I would definitely recommend this to my friends older and my age but not younger.
