Please go to Google Classroom to find this week’s homework.
When you have completed your homework, click ‘Hand In’ and I will be able to mark it and return it to you. 🙂

During half term, you also have the opportunity to enter the two exciting competitions below.
Instructions will also be entered onto Google Classroom ready for half term.

Superga Trainers Competition

Children are to draw, paint or digitally create their chosen design onto the attached template, which could be anything from their names or pets, to patterns or skylines (nothing trademarked). Anything trademarked, unfortunately won’t be counted.
Once complete, please send your entry to your class teacher on Google Classrooms. The school will send all the entries for each class. Eight schools across the local area will be involved, with each year group, from all schools, in competition against one other. One prize will be given to an entry from each year group, 8 prizes in total – Nursery-year 6. The winners will be awarded their canvas style, with their winning personalisation.
The winners will be announced via a newsletter, which will go to all the schools involved. The closing date for entries is Monday 2nd November.
Once announced, the winners will come into store to choose their shoe and make sure we get the correct size, ready to paint.

Merry Marylebone Christmas Card Competition

Sadly there will no Marylebone Christmas Lights Switch On event this year. We will miss singing on stage at the event but are happy that as part of the wider ‘Merry Marylebone’ Christmas campaign, we have once again been invited to enter the schools Christmas Card Competition.

Competition Details:

  • Competition theme: ‘Merry Marylebone’
  • Closing Date for entries: Monday 2nd November 2020

Please ensure the following rules are adhered to, or you risk the cards being forfeited:

  • Pictures are hand drawn by the pupils (no computerized images or traced images)
  • Pictures are sent in as flat drawings (not as an already-made card) – in A5 size
  • School, first and last name and age (not school year) are on the reverse of each design (A template is attached that can be used)

Categories: 5 years and under / 6-9 years / 10 and above. As previously, each category will have a winner and a runner up who will all receive a prize and also the ultimate Winner and Runner Up who will receive an extra special gift.

Please return all Christmas Card entries to school after half term or upload Superga entries on Google Classroom. Have fun and good luck!

  1. Hi Miss,
I can not write back to you on google classroom. So therefor I will right on here about were I would settle if I was an angle-Saxons.

If I was an angle-Saxon I would settle somewhere where there are hills so that I could see if any enemies are coming to invade. I would also settle close to a river so that I can wash myself, my clothes and be able to drink water and have fish for food. I would need to have a forest nearby to use the wood from trees to build houses and to make a fire in the winter to keep me warm and prepare food.

    Thanks Tijne, 😺

  2. Hi Tijne,
Try creating a new document to complete the task on.
You have made some great points about where the Anglo-Saxons should settle. Can you find anywhere on a map that has hills and a river nearby?
