Good morning Year 3, I hope you are all feeling okay today. For our wellbeing task today we are going to explore our feelings and deepen our understanding of good and not so good feelings.

First click HERE to find out a little bit more about feelings and emotions.

How are you feeling today? Spend a couple of minutes thinking about how you feel. Then think about why you are feeling this way. Post your answers on the blog.

Task 1
With a family member discuss why you think we have different feelings and share some examples of the feelings you have felt. It is important to remember that feelings come and go. When we have bad feelings like sadness, anger, worry or doubt it can help us if we think of some things we can do to help these feelings go away.

Task 2

Choose one not so good feeling – look at the different feelings on the poster above to help you to choose one.

Make a poster/card for someone who may be feeling this way and include some ideas of how to help the feelings go away, for example talking to someone, playing a game or even writing your feelings down.

Try to choose different feelings to your friends so we have a variety!

You can draw lots of pictures, you may even want to include some quotes or bible verses to encourage others with your card.

Remember to take a photo and I will add a gallery of all of your lovely words of encouragement to help others!

    When your feeling sad you can:
    1. Look outside and listen to the birds.
    2. Enjoy fresh air!
    3. Your can play a game.
    4. You can meditate.
    5. You can pray.
    6. You can read your favorite book or any book.
    7. Maybe sit in a quiet room and think about your feelings.
    8. Write about your day in a diary or on a peace of paper.

    Today I am feeling happy and a little bit bored ?? I feel happy because yesterday was my mum’s birthday and we had fun but also for the first time this year I was able to swim in the pool that had been filled up. But I also feel a bit bored because my Mum is always working during the week and so she can’t play with me. And also I miss my friends and it’s not the same to see them on a screen than to be with them …

    Today I feel tied because I woke up so early today to go to the school hub and I did Joe wicks we did 31 stages !
    bored at home because there is nothing to do. How are you doing ?

    Happy, proud of myself and confident today.
    Task 1
    I think we have different feelings because sometimes we do different actions and we sometimes speak nicely and say not nice things.
    Yesterday I felt happy and exited because I got to watch the last part of Star Wars.

    I am feeling happy, and loved. Sometimes I am feeling a bit bored and stuck in the house. I am looking forward to going back to school and seeing my friends.
    My mum is feeling tired ?and happy ? That corona is nearly gone and things will hopefully start to go back to now all. She is also great full because she also likes spending time whith me????

  16. I’m feeling fine today. I’ve enjoyed doing my blog work, but I am missing my friends and going to school. I drop Aiden off to school in the morning with my mum and sister and it makes me want to be at school even more.
    I’ve felt bored sometimes over the lockdown, I also really miss visiting my Nan on the weekends, we have been able to say hello at a social distance but it’s not the same and I can’t hug or kiss her which is really hard.

    I feel happy because yesturday I made a paper computer for me and my sister Basia. I feel also bored because my mum has lots of works and lots of calls and she doesn’t have any time for me!!!?????????????????????????????????????????

    Hi everyone,
    Today I’m happy and a bit tired. I’m happy because I going to go on my brothers laptop. On the laptop I play roblox so I can play with my friends.
    I was feeling tired because I over slept.
    If you are feeling sad . Talk to an adult ,they will comfort you.
    Try to concentrate on fun activities ,so you keep busy. Keeping busy is important because then your mind has less chance of being sad.

  23. I’m very tired today ? as I did a big run on Saturday and I stayed up late at the weekend to watch the last 2 Harry Potter movies ?
    I’m really missing everyone and all of the lessons ( especially I.T)

    Exercise 1.
    Today I am happy because yesterday with my family I was in the forest I was swinging on a tree, we were also on ice cream, I had a great time with my family. When we returned home, we watched the movie in the living room. Then me and my sister had fun.
    Exercise Task 2.
    I think we have different feelings because sometimes we do different things and we also have different lives. If someone is sad, we can help him, then we will feel happy and the person will be happy about it. If someone is scared, we can hug him and say that everything will be fine.

  27. Hello Miss Casey!
    I enjoyed the Star Wars because it was kind of scary and I like scary. The most surprising the part was when Rey found out who’s her grandfather is. It was so cool when when she was fighting with two Jedi swords.
    I am so sad that it was the last part of Star Wars but I hope they’ll be a next one any time soon. Have a good day.
