Click here for a printable version of this blog post: English Monday printable

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Sadly, it wasn’t as sunny as we have been used to, so maybe you used all that time to do lots of reading! Please remember to update our class Reading Diary Blog to share what you have read. Don’t forget to see what others have read so you can get ideas or talk about your books together.

This week we are carrying on with our 50 Ways to Feel Happy book, focusing on pages 8-9. Scan the QR code to access the pages or click on the pdf link here:50 Ways to be Happy extract

Don’t forget that we are only reading pages 8-9 today so you’ll have to find the right pages in the extract.

Before you do the activity below, see if you can answer these questions on pages 8-9:

  1. What is the main heading for this page?
  2. What is one of the subheading on this page?
  3. Why do you think subheading are useful in non-fiction texts?

Now you can try this activity:

Please make your posters neat and colourful! You can make them on paper or on the computer. Please send in a photo of your posters so we can see all the ways that everyone is going to be kind this week.

For the extension, look at other people’s posters on the blog and then share the ideas with your family at home.

I can’t wait to see all the wonderful ways you are going to be kind this week 🙂

Well done Madeleine for doing extra handwriting practise 🙂
