Over the past couple of weeks, Year 6 have combined their Historical knowledge of WW2 and their Scientific knowledge of electrical circuits to build Anderson Shelters.

They were set the following criteria:

  • Your model must include a light that can be turned on and off

or

  • Your model must include an air raid siren that can be turned on and off
  • Your model must include historical elements.

In their Science lessons, the children designed and constructed circuits and in their History and DT lessons, the children designed and built replicas of Anderson Shelters.

Next week, the children will evaluate their work and see if they met the criteria.

Well done Year 6-you all worked brilliantly and your models are fantastic!
