Yesterday we were so lucky to have a special art workshop, led by an Artist from the October Gallery!
Last week and this week are Art Week! And our theme this year is ‘Celebrating Britain’ and Nursery are focusing on the Union Jack! The flag that includes all flags from the countries of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Nursery were able to create their own Union Jacks that appeared by Magic! The Artist Kirsty showed them that if they drew the Union Jack on their paper with a white oil pastel, when they painted on their paper, the Union Jack would appear!
Everyone did so well with this task, they listened very well to Kirsty and followed her instructions. Nursery all showed their creative side, as they drew and painted in their own style and with lots of colour! Well done Nursery!
I really like all your Union Jack’s nursery! It’s very interesting how the colours all show up in different places after you use your wax pastels!
