This week,  we joined together as a class for our weekly child-led collective worship. This was a special time for us to come together to hear the word of God, reflect and think about how we can live in His way.

To begin, we placed some special objects on the prayer mat.

We then began our collective worship…

Gather
We repeated the words ‘Lord stay with me, Lord bless me and keep me.’

Word
Today’s reading was based on Mark 11:1-11 – Jesus rides into Jerusalem. The crowd cheered and shouted, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Praise be to God.’ We learnt how the crowds of people in Jerusalem were very excited to see Jesus and praise His name.

Response
We said a litany of thanks for energy.

Mission
We thought about how we can use our prayer table throughout the week to say a quiet prayer.

We have tried hard this week to live out our weekly mission. Well done Reception!

Great job reception! I like how you have placed the special objects on the prayer mat. 🙏👌

  2. I liked saying the prayers with my friends. I liked the gold carpet, cross and statue of St Vincent that we put in the middle of the class.
