Prayer is an important part of our school day. It a special time for us to hear the word of God, reflect and think about how we can live in His way.

In this week’s Child-Led Collective Worship, we listened to the Book of Romans 12: 3-10 which teaches us to love one another. It tells us that ‘whoever shows kindness to others should do it cheerfully’.

Gather
To begin, we rang a bell to signal to everyone that we were entering a time of prayer. We then made the sign of the cross to show that we belong to God.

Word
Today’s reading reminded to to serve, encourage and share with one another. We heard that we should spread our love generously to everyone as Christians and to always hold on to what is good.

Response
We then had some quiet time to close our eyes and reflect on the Word we had heard, praying quietly in our hearts to thank God for the many gifts he has given us.

Mission
To take this message away with us we wrote down a promise to do something helpful at home and share our love with others. We then placed our promises in a promise jar which we will place on our prayer table to remind us of our mission all week.

To end our worship together, we said the school prayer to thank God for ourselves, our friends and family.

How will you live out the mission to love other and help out at home?
