Today in Computing we created our own continuous line drawings using 2Simple. We were given the challenge of not moving our finger off the mouse. We called this, ‘taking a line for a walk.’ We created beautiful artwork and experimented with different functions, for example filling the shapes with colours and amending our designs by pressing the undo button. We all had excellent mouse control.

We then looked at some artwork by Piet Modrian. Modrian used straight lines. His work was very abstract. We enjoyed creating our own artwork in the style of his work. Some of use applied our learning of the story of Good Friday to create the crosses.

After Computing we made the most of the sun by having our PE lesson on the roof. Yoga is so good for our mind and bodies. We began our lesson in yoga pose then practised lots of different poses, such as downward-facing dog and tree pose

Well done Year 1!
