Today at school we celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III, ahead of the ceremony tomorrow. We all came to school dressed in red, white and blue, the colours of the Union Jack flag and came together for a special assembly to learn more about this important historic occasion. We prayed to God to support King Charles and we sang God Save the King.

At lunchtime we all headed to the roof playground, which had been decorated with our the bunting we had made, for a special whole school picnic. Thank you to the catering team for preparing such a lovely lunch. Unfortunately the rain meant we had to dash inside with our sandwiches-but this only added to the fun!

The day ended with a range of coronation related activities in our classes before we headed home for the long weekend.

God Save the King!

It was really fun and I enjoyed celebrating king charles III. I liked it how we all came together and wore the colors of the British flag. In class we did activities about the history behind the royal family and the lines to the throne.
