Year 4 have had a great first week back at school. It has been wonderful getting to know the children and welcoming new pupils to the class.
Over the course of the week we have been busy learning more about ourselves and the world during our Citizenship and Locality days. We explored ‘My Place in the World’ and further developed our geographical skills by looking at the key features of ordnance survey maps to create our own detailed maps of Marylebone.
The children have also enjoyed exploring their new Religious Education topic Domestic Church – Family where they have started to explore the truth that Jesus had a natural family with real people with names and a history. This week we learnt about Jesus’ family tree and created our own artwork about different members of his family.

Having Miss Duffy for the week and learning all about Pompeii😊
I really enjoyed the RE and drawing people from Jesus’s family tree it was really fun getting to know his family and RE is also one of my favourite lessons.
I enjoyed R.E because we had so much fun and we got to use water colours.
We enjoyed reading the Pompeii book and painting people in Jesus family. It was a fun activity.
