Today, ten girls from Years 5 and 6 represented St. Vincent’s at the Westminster Girls’ Football Tournament.

All of the girls played fantastically, winning all of their matches (6-0, 4-0, 2-0 and 3-0) and were thrilled to make it all the way through to the finals where they sadly lost on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

Although the team were disappointed, it was a great achievement to come second out of a total of 14 schools and they should all be very proud of their resilience, stamina and teamwork  as well as their excellent football skills.

It was so fun and I would like to do it again someday. I was a goal keeper and it was the most hardest thing on earth but I saved lots of goals .
