After working so hard this year, everyone needs to relax and enjoy a well deserved rest during the summer holidays. If you are looking for some inspiration for activities to take part in during this time, please see the information below…

Ready, Set, Read

At. St. Vincent’s we love reading and the summer holiday provides a great opportunity to read some new books. Remember to visit Marylebone Library and see what treasures you can discover. Why not take part in the Summer Reading challenge?

Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme

This Summer, there are over 40 local organisations across the borough offering free activities and healthy meals to children and young people who are in receipt of income-related Free School Meals (pupil premium) and vulnerable groups experiencing financial hardship.

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme allows vulnerable children and young people to access enriching activities such as Sports Camps, Music, Dance, Arts and Crafts, Adventure Play, Youth Clubs and Offsite Trips. Participants will also receive free, healthy meals and snacks each day they attend.

This Summer, the Westminster City Council has increased programme funding from the Department for Education to widen the HAF offer. This will enable children and young people who fall just short of Free School Meal eligibility to access the HAF programme. Please read the letter for eligible parents.

October Gallery Family Art Days

On the last Saturday of every month the October Gallery, who work so closely with St. Vincent’s,  hold  a free Family Art session between 10:00 a.m.  and midday. Please do go along and enjoy being creative.

If these dates are not convenient, check out the website of other galleries in London. We are so lucky to have so many museums and galleries close by which are usually free to visit so you can go with a pencil and some paper and practise your sketching skills.

Two Cities Photography Competition

The purpose of the competition is to unite pupils and their families by encouraging them to explore
their neighbourhoods and take a photo that encapsulates their favourite activity or place.
The competition is open to everyone aged 4 years and above, and the age categories are 4-8; 9-13;
14-17, and 18+.
The winners will be announced at the end of September and will be invited to a special awards ceremony later in the Autumn. Good luck!
