Today in the outside area, the Reception class displayed their fantastic Literacy skills!
Our outside learning task today was to create shopping lists, of all the food and drink items they would want to buy for a tea party!
Once the children had clipboards, paper and pens they went off with a peer to think about what they would want to buy and write their list together.
I am so impressed with everyone’s writing! Each child was using their phonics skills to sound out words, segmenting the words into the sounds they could hear and writing them down with great pen grip and control.
The class worked all morning on their lists, and were so proud of how many items they were able to write independently! Well done Reception!!
