This term for Design and Technology Year 1 have planned and made a moving storybook!
We started by investigating how things move, and looking at the difference between levers and sliders. We then made a mock moving part of a bunny coming out of a hat with a lever and a race car moving along a track with a slider. We then created a design criteria for our real story- we were making a moving storybook for Humpty Dumpty! Next it was time to create. It was very tricky punching holes in the correct places and cutting along the right lines but eventually we all did a fantastic job. Parents will be able to come and see the finished product next week as part of our end of project celebration!
