Today Year 3 and 4 were lucky enough to attend Marylebone Music Festival for a live orchestra rendition of Peter and the Wolf!

There were lots of children there from different schools and we took turns to guess which instrument might be used to represent each character!

The orchestra used the flute for the bird, the drums for the hunters and the violins for Peter.

We loved listening to the story and imagining the characters moving to the percussion, woodwind and string tempo.

At the end we got to meet the orchestra’s very special conductor, Sue Perkins!

It was a fantastic way to end the week and we are so grateful that we are finally able to explore the world in real life and visit new places to discover new things!

Thank you to Miss Coleman for organising the trip and to Marylebone Music Festival for such an amazing afternoon of music!

I really loved Peter and the Wolf. My favourite Instrumental was the duck sound and all of it because it blends in together.
