Next Wednesday 17th February (Ash Wednesday) marks the start of Lent.

During Lent, we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the importance of the Last Supper and the sacrifice Jesus made for us. We will be on half-term next week so cannot celebrate Ash Wednesday together but we would like to share with you the Lent Old Testament reflection created by our wonderful dioceseLent Week 1 – OT Reflection (Primary)

In this PowerPoint you will be reminded that Genesis gives us an account of beginning of all created things and acts; an introduction to God’s later revelation to Israel through Moses

Opening the Bible and reading these first chapters is like having a huge family album, full of colour and life, in which God shows us not only the origin of the universe but also that creation results from God’s love and that it is love which leads him to announce our future salvation!

Can you tell us in the comments below what Lenten Promises you will be making this Lent?

We would love if you could share this with us!
