Thank you all for a fabulous half term. We are so proud of how hard you have all worked-and now you deserve a rest. Next week during half term it is really important that you look after yourselves and each other so we are calling it Wellbeing Week. To support you we will be uploading daily wellbeing news posts. The Department Education agree with this focus and  the Youth Mental Health Ambassador, Dr Alex George has shared his ‘top five tips’ for young people’s good mental health and wellbeing. Ahead of the February half-term and as national restrictions remain in place, he has given advice to young people on how to improve their mood and look after themselves by eating well, getting plenty of sleep and natural light during the daytime.

  • Get outside

  • Exercise

  • Call a friend

  • Eat well

  • Sleep routines

    To look after my mental health I went for walks, I relaxed and I used some breathing technique , but I think the most important tip is to be calm and concentrated.

    Thanks for the tips Lavinia. I also find that going for walks is good for my mental health and having Molly means I still go whatever the weather!
