Today we welcomed many parents into school for our Parent Workshop for Phonics and Early Reading.
Miss Jones talked about early reading and phonics and what this looks like at St Vincent’s. Miss Jones shared lots of information about the phonics programme we follow; ‘Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised,’ and how we teach phonics and support early reading at St Vincent’s.
The parents then had the opportunity to watch phonics in action by visiting the Reception and Year 1 class during their phonics lessons.
