In Reception, we have been busy building on our phonic knowledge!

We have now learnt the following sounds…

This week we focused on learning the phonemes ck, e, u and r.

We played ‘What’s in the box?’ and identified different objects that begin with these sounds.

We learnt some new graphemes that represent the sounds ck, e, u and r and practised writing each grapheme correctly. Our handwriting is improving!

We have also been practising our oral blending and reading by blending sounds together.

Keep up the good work Reception!
