Religious Education: Friends

This week in our Religious Education learning, we learnt about what Jesus tells us about being friends.

We listened to a reading based on John 13;
‘I love you and I want you to love one another.’
We talked about what the most important thing Jesus tells us about being friends.

We discussed God’s friendship to us. We listened to a reading based on Joel 2;
‘Turn to me for I am kind and understanding, loving and gentle. I am always ready to forgive you.’

We pretended that we were friends who had made each other sad. We said ‘sorry,’ to each other and shook hands to show that we had forgiven each other.

This week we are going to try hard to remember Jesus’ message about how we can be friends.
