We are loving our Science lessons in Year 1!

We have been learning about animals including humans. We can classify different animals and know all about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. We can also label the human body and talk about the different parts of the body. Today we explored our 5 senses.

We took part in lots of different sensory activities. We used our ears to hear the sounds of the drums, tambourines and triangle.

We used our tongues to taste the oranges, banana and sour lemon. We had to close our eyes and guess the fruit!

We used our noses to smell different flavours of crisps.

We used our eyes and magnifying glasses to look at different animals in greater detail.

We used our hands to feel different textures. We had to close our eyes and guess the objects in the feely bags.

We had a lot of fun this afternoon! Have a look at some photos.
