This week we had singing and music with Mr Hylton!

First we had singing, which we do every week with Reception. The children have been learning lots of lovely songs, most of which have actions with them. Sometimes Mr Hylton plays piano for the songs, sometimes it has a backing track and sometimes we use our bodies for the background. Some of the songs we sang today were:

  • Touch your head
  • Hello hello itโ€™s nice to see you
  • When I learn to read
  • God is good to me
  • Tickly rain
  • Mrs bunny

We also had music down in the music room! In music we started with a clapping song to help us listen to and join in with the beat. We then got either a lollipop drum or drum sticks and did different activities to help us hear the beat. For example, we all banged to the beat and then we started one at a time. It was so much fun!
