Thursday Afternoon Fun

The sun is still shining, but we all managed to get a little we this afternoon! We went to build shelters and worked in teams and collected sticks to make our shelter. The shelter was really fun to build as we had to work together to find sticks that would fit on the outline of our shelter. The shelters were the tested for two things. We had a bear attack to test how sturdy the shelter was and then a huge rain cloud to test how waterproof they were. We then got scored on our shelters and had to include a door that was big enough for us to get in!

Unfortunately, due to the very hot summer, there wasn’t enough water in the stream for a stream walk, and so we did a brand new activity which was quite a challenge! We were given a map of Sayers Croft which had 4-figure grid references and were then given a reference to go to with a question to answer and, if we read the map correctly(!), the answer was there! It was a lot of fun working together and running around the whole of Sayers Croft!

We’re all currently enjoying a swim in the pool and shower to warm up! After dinner we’ve got one final visit to the tuck shop before we go to the highlight of the week: the pyjama disco! We can’t wait to dance together on our last night at Sayers Croft!
